An application for piezo electric acutators?
Ok i get the basics for piezo electric actuators. The use a voltage to create ultra precise movements. Obviously these are in use somewhere in the manufacturing industry. Can anybody give me an example of a machine that would use this kind of techniology?
I'm thinking of mobile phones...would they use them to manufacture the smaller more inticate parts?

some new direct injection engines and diesel engines, esp. those from volkswagen, use piezo electric fuel injectors. i guess the fuel injectors use piezo electric actuators.
